FREEDOM & UNITY TV AWARDS CEREMONY

Prizes, food, celebration, panel discussion and film screenings!
First, Second and Third Prizes* were awarded in the following categories: Documentary, Fiction and Animation. Awards were given for each age category, 14-18 year old category (high school), and 18-25 year old category, (college and young adult). Selected films can be screened on our web site, social media channels and in Vermont film and video festivals (TBA).
First Prize: Cash award of $500 or equivalent value in a Gift Certificate.
Second Prize: Cash award of $250 or equivalent value in a Gift Certificate.
Third Prize: Cash award of $100 or equivalent value in a Gift Certificate.
Non-competitive Category: one-on-one critique with a professional filmmaker.
SPECIAL AWARD: The Jamie Kanzler Award for Best Experimental FilmJamie Kanzler was a young Vermont filmmaker, musician and poet who passed away in 2013. His mother, Janine Kanzler has generously created a $1000 award in his name for the Best Experimental Film in the Freedom and Unity TV Contest. The award will be divided into $500 each to the two Best Experimental Films, one in each age bracket: 14-18 year old category (high school), and 18-25 year old category, (college and young adult).

Winning films will be screened at White River Indie Festival, Sunday, April 26th, Main Street Museum, 58 Bridge St, White River Junction, Vermont.
